New Video: Brent & Anissa Olsen

Brent's journey with same-sex attraction has resulted in damaged and repaired faith as he has learned to embrace same-sex attraction as a teacher in his life. When doubt and fear seemed to threaten their marriage, Anissa learned to walk with God as her source of strength. Now sixteen years into marriage, Brent and Anissa continue to grow in their love, faith and commitment to each other and to their growing family of four energetic boys. Brent works in human resources and enjoys singing and playing piano. Anissa is a full-time mother of four, loves long distance running and snuggling under a blanket for a good movie.

New Video: Tyler Lefevor

Tylerís life as a graduate student in counseling psychology involves lots of reading and balancing demands from professors with precious free time. Outside of school at the University of Miami, he loves running, deep conversations about life, being in nature, and serving in the church. Through questions and struggles, same sex attraction has helped Tyler deepen his faith and develop a more authentic relationship with God. After denying the reality of same sex attraction for most of his life, Tyler has found that accepting and understanding same sex attraction has helped him recognize the importance of connecting with others and supporting each other on our path back to Heavenly Father. As a lifelong member of the church, his secret wish is to one day be the ward chorister.

They were married in the Oakland Temple, had two additional children, and currently live in the Salt Lake City area. Until recently, Arlo worked as a structural engineer. Kathy is a sign language interpreter, and they are running a business consulting firm together. Through their journey they have come to experience the Atonement of Jesus Christ and are grateful for the influence His gospel has had in their lives.

Our initial goal is for the website to be a repository of a thousand voices of faithful Latter-day Saints dealing with these issues, sharing their stories and their faith —why they've chosen to embrace the restored gospel and how they've found peace and resolution in that decision.

This video documents the impact of the Voices of Hope project on one young man's journey toward wholeness and peace and takes the viewer behind the scenes of the project's production process to reveal all of the work, effort, time and equipment that makes this project the model of cinematographic excellence that has been a hallmark of this project since its inception. If you are inspired by this video to join us in furthering Voices of Hope's mission through becoming a financial partner in some way, please visit the Support a Voice page and give generously today. Your dollars will help thousands of lives for years to come.
