Lucas & Wrylon Jones

Lucas Jones, a DBA (computer genius), and Wrylon Jones, a homeschool mom, are best friends and have been married for almost 15 years. Their four children bring them much laughter, joy, and opportunities for personal growth. Lucas and Wrylon have faced the challenges life has given them with creativity and determination. Two of the most important lessons they have learned are the value of each life and the importance of exercising faith in God. As a family some of the things they enjoy are hiking, learning, camping, herbalism, barefoot running, natural living, historical type fencing, and cooking and baking from scratch. Luke and Wrylon together enjoy shopping at thrift stores and laughing together.

Wow! Thank you both for sharing your story. I have been married for over twenty years and have a beautiful family. My life is turning upside down right now as I face something a part of me has always known, but hid very well. It is so true that there are many of us out there. I am with my best friend and have what I have always been taught is most important, an eternal loving family. Surprisingly still SSA. Thought too it would go away if I didn't feed it long enough. We need to share with one another so the beautiful youth of today that are being told a very different story by the world can see they actually can be themselves and yet 'have it all'. Heavenly Father loves all his children. I see it now! May the Lord bless you both in your continued journey.

Your story was riveting and, although I loved you both before, as I watched this, I felt how much Heavenly Father must love both of you to have extended His love and care in such uniquely personal ways. I am so grateful that you elected to be part of this important project. Your courage will directly affect tens of thousands of lives for good. I promise you that, some day, you will get a message that says, "You saved my life."

You share here the story that is similar to many of us in heterogeneous marriages. As strange as that may seem to many folks these days, as contrary as that may sound to choose to marry outside our natural sexual orientation, we are finding joy in the journey. You explain so well how a mixed-orientation marriage CAN work, that there ARE paths that are true to both our homosexuality and our devotion to the Law of Chastity as taught by the church. Allies to the LGBT community need to know that these options are not only there but are just what many of us desire.

Thank you for sharing your voice of hope w the world! Life is beautiful. You both are beautiful! Our Heavenly Father loves each of us and WILL and does lead us along day by day. I KNOW He will comfort, guide and direct each of us, His children, that desire His guidance and seek Him. Thank you both for having the courage to share your journey with us! May The Lord continue to bless you! I know He will!!

Lucas, you provide a very insightful view to how SSA can be integrated into a marriage. You both demonstrate great love and dedication for each other, and the gospel. God bless you for your strength to tell this story, as it will bless the lives of many people.

Dear Lucas & Wrylon, Thank you so much for being brave. I enjoyed it so much, I even went back and watched the long version :~) Lucas, I have always thought so much of your family, and I'm glad to know another member better. You are awesome. I hope to count you as a friend. Wrylon, Thank you so much for trusting God, and for helping one of His sons, to achieve his full potential. I was reminded of the ending of Avatar when they look at each other, one alien-blue, and the other, struggling to breathe, and say, "I See you". Thanks again.

This is exactly what I needed today. Like you said Lucas sometimes we do need to hear things over and over again just to know that God loves us. I can only hope that one day I'll have a marriage and relationship as fulfilling as you all's. This year I am also on the road to acceptance, and it's hard, but I know it'll be worth it. I love you guys!

Thank you for your story. I have been married for 31 years. I came out to my wife about 20 years ago, and it did not go well. Now the issue has come up again, and it is a major crisis. Your story is not my story, but it does not matter. Your story brings me great hope. My journey will be different, but like you, I feel God's guidance and the assurance that he will lead me through as he did you. I look forward to His workings in my life, and I hope one day to add my voice to yours on this website.

I have been watching the Voices of Hope videos all weekend. Each story has touched me deeply and while all of the men have said things to which I can relate the way Lucas said them - there are no words to express how much something about how he expressed himself is like me. Thank you BOTH for you courage, your joy, and your FAITHFUL willingness to share your story.

What a wonderful story and example of true friendship and love. Your story really moved me and touched my heart. I am much older than you and have dealt with this issue for a long time. 6 kids and 14 grandchildren later, I find myself so truly blessed and thankful for my conversion the The Church and for the decision I made to live a normal, Godly lifestyle. I believe that as you get your cup filled appropriately with healthy relationships with other men, that your SSA will diminish and you will find more peace and joy in your journey. You are both so likable and I hope my wife and I can meet and visit one day. I pray God will bless you as you continue to follow the plan that will lead you and your beautiful family to blessing innumerable and true happiness.

What a blessing it is to have met you both. I draw strength from your story and the spirit I feel is life changing. Turning towards acceptance of SSA does bring peace and joy (although getting to that point is tough, dark and often times lonely. Thank you for your story. It brings hope to many.
